Odds are based on the win pool and reflect each individual horse’s chances of winning, as determined by the wagering of the public. The morning line is a calculation for the odds in the program. These program odds are made before the betting and represent the track projections as to how the public will wager on each horse. Payoffs are based on $2 bets. The infield odds board and in-house television monitors reflect approximate odds. |

DAILY DOUBLE A Daily Double is a single wager in which the bettor is required to select the winners of two consecutive races. There are two Daily Doubles nightly, an early double usually on the first and second races and a late double usually on the last two races. EXACTORS An Exactor wager requires the selection, in exact finishing order,(ex 1-2 , number 1 finished first and 2 finished second, to box them you would buy 1-2 and 2-1) of the first and second horses in a single race. The basic Exactor bet is $2. But if the bettor chooses to box two or more horses, the basic denomination can drop as low as $1. For instance, the bettor could play a two-horse $1 box(1 and 2 , 2 and 1) This would cost $2 and would be a winner if the two horses finish first and second in either order. A three-horse box (six potential winning combinations) costs $6; four-horse box, $12; five-horse box, $20; six-horse box, $30; seven-horse box, $42; eight-horse box, $56. TRIACTORS Triactor wagering involves the selection on the first three finishers in the exact order in a single race. The basic Triactor is $2 when a single combination is played, such as 1-2-3. For the bettor to collect a payoff, the 1 horse must win, the 2 must finish second and the 3 must finish third. Triactor boxes offer greater number of winning combinations and the basic wagering denomination can drop as low as $1. Thus a three-horse box (six winning combinations 1-2-3: 1-3-2: 2-3-1: 2-1-3: 3-1-2: 3-2-1) costs $6; four-horse box, $24; five-horse box, $60; six-horse box, $120; seven-horse box, $210; eight-horse box, $336.
SUPERFECTA Superfecta wagering is very similar to the Triactor except that it involves the selection of the first four finishers in the exact order in a single race. |
